Hi, I’m Shelley

I’m an ADHD Executive Functions Coach and I founded Intentional Shift to empower adults, students and families to not just cope, but navigate the challenges of work, school, and life with confidence - diagnosis or not. If you’ve ever felt like your brain works differently or that the world isn’t quite set up for you, you’ve come to the right place.

Neurotypical environments - whether it’s the traditional workplace, school or social settings - can often feel like they’re not ADHD-friendly. This can lead to self-doubt, frustration, or self-limiting beliefs like “I’m not good enough” or “I can’t do this.”

I’m passionate about helping you dismantle those beliefs. We’ll work together to build unshakeable confidence and self-esteem, giving you the tools and mindset to navigate any environment successfully. You’ll learn to identify and leverage your unique strengths and abilities, understand how ADHD shows up in your life, and approach challenges and setbacks with a newfound sense of capability and self-acceptance.

Working With Your Brain, Not Against It

Many neurotypical strategies simply don’t click for neurodiverse brains. My approach is practical, personalised and neuro-inclusive because every brain is different. We’ll dive into strategies that help you:

  • Build sustainable habits by creating the right mental scaffolding that supports your unique executive functions.

  • Master time-management skills that actually work for your brain.

  • Effectively manage workloads to reduce overwhelm and boost productivity.

  • Prevent burnout by finding your balance and creating routines that nourish you.

You’ll gain actionable techniques to bring more structure, calm, and efficiency into your daily life. You’ll transform how you approach tasks and manage your energy to help you overcome executive functioning challenges.

My approach to coaching is built on a strong foundation of professional expertise and lived experience. I’ve completed an ICF-accredited life coaching certification through The Life Coaching College and have advanced my expertise with their ADHD Executive Functions coaching certification. My background also includes a psychological sciences degree, a business management diploma, and a Cert IV in training and assessment.

Drawing on 13 years in leadership roles, where I’ve led and motivated teams of over 100 staff, I’ve seen firsthand the power of a tailored, strengths-based approach. I understand that everyone has unique strengths and individual needs, and I’ve successfully fostered growth mindsets and cohesive teams by focusing on what people do best. Now, I’m passionate about doing the same for you.

I bring a deeply empathetic and compassionate perspective to my coaching because I’ve experienced the challenges, experienced burnout, and sought help - leading me to an AuDHD diagnosis. You’ll find a supportive space where your experiences are understood and validated.
